The Lacey award was previously the ATMCH Academic Leadership Award. The ATMCH Academic Leadership Award was created in
1990. It was named the Lacey award in 1995 after the death of Loretta Lacey, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Every year, past recipients of the award and the chair of
the nominations committee review the nominations for the Lacey award.
ATMCH is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Lacey Award. ATMCH will announce the awardee in September 2011 and present them with a plaque at the Fall ATMCH meeting, to be held Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the APHA annual meeting in Washington, DC. Nominations are due Friday, August 19, 2011.
