Posted 8/15/19: The Departments of Sociology and Gender & Women’s Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seek to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor of the Social Causes & Consequences of Reproductive Health. The position requires a PhD or other doctorate degree in sociology, gender & women’s studies, public health, social work, political science, anthropology, or a related field. This position is part of the exciting Reproductive Equity cluster hire at UW-Madison, developed to build world-class, cross-disciplinary, diverse research in the area. The application deadline for assuring full consideration is 10/1/19, but the position will remain open & applications may be considered until the position is filled. Qualifications include a PhD/doctorate in a related field; high degree of familiarity with the life course health sciences; prior experience & demonstrated success in acquiring funding for, designing & conducting intervention research studies; significant history of relevant peer-reviewed & other publications; and prior experience & demonstrated skill in project & personnel management & leadership of intervention research.
